The design of the MTX planing deck boat was specifically created to produce the best all around boat in the marketplace. More than a pontoon boat. More than a fishing boat. More than a ski boat. More than a family runabout. Actually our deck boat can be all of these and more. Based on an offshore racing catamaran asymmetric hull shape our boat throws a minimal inner wake to reduce pounding against the under deck and cavitation problems experienced by most pontoon boats. The bow of the MTX boat can be raised and lowered by simply engaging the motor trim. This allows us to run fast and safely in rough waters (3’ seas) that would keep a pontoon boat in port. With larger motors, electric trolling motors and livewell options we can offer the speed (50+ mph) of a bass boat, but with room to fish the whole family in comfort. When the weather kicks up our soft ride and stability will turn bass boaters “green” with envy. For the skier our MTX boat jumps up on plane quickly, throws very little wake and can turn around quicker than most pure ski boats. As a family runabout, the space available simply cannot be matched by any V-hull boat, and of course the ladies love to sunbath sprawled out comfortably on our unique bed options. In summary, whether you fish the back bays or bass lakes, cruise lazily down a quiet river, or head for the salt water environment of the intercoastal and offshore islands of the Gulf or Keys, the MTX planing deck boat will take you there comfortably with the speed to get you safely in if the weather turns against you.
We also believe that boats should be designed to afford their owners more time on the water rather than spending time polishing and cleaning. To that end we use high quality gel coats that require a minimum of maintenance. All aluminum is anodized for corrosion resistance and all hardware is stainless steel to stand up even in a salt water environment. Our outdoor furniture fabric resists fading and rotting. Our under storage is designed not to hold water. It also lets air circulate to minimize mildew build up on items stored in it. Best of all the aluminum frames used on our furniture require virtually no maintenance.
