We love our Laker 712 deluxe package. Handling, comfort, stability , durability & price are all great. Everyone wants to know about our boat. Easy on and off is a real plus.
We just added a 20hp Yamaha to buck the wind on the Oregon coast. The ride isn?t quite as dry but that?s common and a small price to pay for ?The need for Speed?. Happy Trails Laker Family!!

Questions & Answers about Laker 712 DLX Mini Pontoon
- If I upgrade to an electric outboard, how much faster will this boat go?
- An electric outboard motor speeds are approximately 3 to 6 MPH depending on the size and style electric outboard you choose.
- What is the thickness of the railing?
- The rails are .125 gauge.
- Are your gas motors electric start? I'm asking because I’m right-handed, and my arm doesn’t work correctly, so I can’t pull-start anything. Please let me know. Have a blessed day!
- Yes they are electric start.
- How about small rivers? I am a mile from a state park ramp on the Choptank River in Denton, MD. I realize it's tidal, but it's always very calm.
- Yes it will work on small rivers depending on how deep the water is.
- What is the total length of the 712 DLX with the trailer?
- The overall dimensions are 18'4"L x 7'W x 8'5"H w/ bimini top folded on brace kit. You can purchase a breakaway tounge and take an additional 3' off of the length. If you drop the bimini top off of the brace kit, the top will drop an additional 12".
- What is the size of the tongue hitch receiver?
- You will need a 2 in. ball on your vehicle.

- What is a tounge? What is a breakaway tounge? And how high would the bimin top be from ground to top? I am very interested in this pontoon but because of HOA requirements it must fit in my garage.
- The tongue on a trailer is the front part of the trailer frame that extends forward from the main body and connects to the towing vehicle's hitch. A breakaway tongue (often called a folding or swing-away tongue) is a type of trailer tongue that is hinged or jointed, allowing the tongue to fold or swing to the side when not in use. This feature is designed to save space and make storage easier, especially in tight areas like garages or driveways. The overall dimensions are 18'7"L x 7'W x 8'5"T with bimini top on brace kit. Flipping the bimini forward for storage on the boat rails reduces package to ~ 18'4"L x 6'8"W x 7'5"T. Shorten length by 3' with an optional breakaway tongue. Adding a bigger gas outboard may increase length by ~12". You also take the bimini top off in order to fit into your garage as well.

George Curry - The 13' 7" is the total length including the pontoons.
