If you are a cruising sailor or you keep your boat on a mooring, the new 2.90VS was made for you! Designed as the ideal sailboat tender for up to 4 passengers, the 2.90VS combines a rugged, go-anywhere double-molded hand laid fiberglass hull with internal stringers and buoyancy tubes that feature an all-around rub rail to cushion and protect yacht hulls from cosmetic and gel coat damage. Add to that a 9’6” length that’s perfect for carrying aboard sailboats with narrower beams, plus fast, solid performance, and you’ve got an unbeatable first rate tender! When powered by a 10HP outboard, the 2.90VS gets up on a plane within seconds, and remains stable even on the tightest turns. The raised bow and large tubes guarantee a smooth, dry ride for both passengers and gear.
AB Inflatables have the widest beams and the largest internal areas on the market. We increased that interior space in the 2.90VS by adding a bow locker.
The bow locker is lined with gelcoated fiberglass and features a flush-mounted draw latch. For added safety and comfort, we’ve included a transverse bar at the bow to secure the fuel tank and prevent it from sliding astern.
